Hummus is a really good way to curb your appetite. This powerfood is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, stimulates your digestion and even helps when you’re feeling sad. The traditional oriental dish is easy to digest, and quick to prepare with a little planning. Just don’t be surprised if it vanishes faster than you can make it!
Step 1: Soak the chickpeas in water overnight, then drain off the water. Put the chickpeas in a pan and cover them with fresh water. Boil gently for around 30 minutes until soft.
Step 2: In the meantime, peel the garlic cloves. Put it in a bowl together with the chickpeas, coriander, sesame spread and olive oil.
Step 3: Set the stickblender to ‘5’ and the time to one minute. Using even movements, blend all the ingredients together well.
Step 4: Once you have a consistent mixture, add the sour cream and blend for another 30 seconds, using the same ‘5’ setting.
Step 5: Toast slices of fresh baguette to a golden brown in your Carrera Quartz Toaster, then serve them with the hummus. Enjoy!
